After three days in Troy Missouri visiting with my sister and her husband I followed the three day rule and headed to Hannibal to visit my ex-brother and sister-in-law. We had a nice visit and while in town I also saw my brother. Sunday morning it was time to head north.
I arrived in Savanna Illinois mid afternoon and went to visit my oldest friend, Pat, and his wife Ann. Pat and I began are schooling together in Kindergarten many moons ago and were together thru high school. Pat is currently undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma and I planned my visit between his five day chemo sessions. We had a great visit and even managed to make it to Galena Illinois to play tourist.
I am now on my way to Mattoon Illinois to visit a former neighbor from Zapata Texas who recently lost his wife.
And the friends and family tour continues.
Glad you're having such a great time connecting with family and friends. Seems like my family and friends are all getting older. Hope that's just something that happens here in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteWish that was the case, but aging seems universal.
DeleteAre you on the "Memory Lane" tour? Sounds like it is a good one.
ReplyDeleteHadn't thought of it that way, but I guess you're right.
DeleteA memory lane tour sounds like a great basis for a tour. That is a good idea thanks.
